Refer a Friend Programme Terms & Conditions

Eligibility Criteria

  • Referrer Eligibility: The referrer must be a current employee of Greenstaff Australia at the time of referral and reward payout. Only active Greenstaff staff members in good standing are eligible to participate as referrers in this programme. Self-referrals or referring someone who is already an employee of Greenstaff are not permitted.
  • Referred Candidate Eligibility: The referred individual must be a new candidate to Greenstaff Australia (i.e. not already on our roster) or someone who has not worked for Greenstaff in the last 12 months. The referred candidate must meet Greenstaff’s standard hiring criteria (e.g. relevant qualifications, work rights, background checks) to be eligible for employment and for the referral bonus. If a referred candidate has worked for Greenstaff within the past year, they will not qualify as a new referral under this programme.
  • Consent and Notification: The referrer should obtain consent from the person they wish to refer before submitting their details to Greenstaff. The referred person should be aware of and agree to the referral. To ensure the referral is recognized, the referrer’s name must be provided at the time of the new candidate’s application or interview (for example, via the referral form or to the recruiter). If a candidate is referred by multiple employees, only the first referral received (chronologically) will be eligible for the bonus.

 

Referral Reward and Payout Conditions

  • Referral Bonus Amount: For each successful referral, a bonus will be awarded to the referrer (and the referred new starter, if applicable as part of a particular campaign). The standard referral bonus is AUD $500 each for both the referrer and the referred candidate upon success (total value $1,000)

 

Note: Greenstaff may specify different bonus amounts for certain roles or promotions; any such variations will be communicated in advance.

 

  • Definition of a Successful Referral: A referral is deemed successful once the referred candidate is officially hired by Greenstaff Australia and completes at least 120 hours of work (approximately 15 standard shifts) within their first 3 months of employment. The 3-month period is counted from the referred employee’s start date. If the referred candidate does not reach 120 hours within three months, the referral bonus will not be payable. (For example, if the referred employee leaves Greenstaff or has insufficient shifts before completing 120 hours, no bonus is earned.)
  • Payment of Bonus: Referral bonuses are paid through payroll to ensure appropriate taxation and superannuation handling. Once the referred candidate meets the 120-hour/3-month requirement and all eligibility is confirmed, the bonus payment will be processed in the next available pay cycle. Taxes and superannuation: As this reward is treated as income, standard income tax will be deducted, and superannuation contributions will be applied in accordance with Australian law. The bonus is not transferable or exchangeable and will only be paid directly to the eligible employees via their normal pay.
  • No Referral Limit: There is no cap on the number of referrals an employee can make. You may refer as many friends or colleagues as you wish, and you will receive a bonus for each successful referral that meets these criteria. Each referred candidate must independently meet the eligibility and success criteria to trigger a bonus. Multiple referral bonuses can be earned by one referrer if multiple referred candidates are successful. (In the same way, a referred new starter can only trigger a single referral bonus for one referrer.)

General Terms and Conditions

  • Programme Duration: The Refer a Friend programme is an ongoing offer with no fixed end date, unless otherwise stated by Greenstaff. Greenstaff Australia reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate this referral programme at any time at its discretion?. In the event of any changes, Greenstaff will endeavour to provide reasonable notice; however, any adjustments will not affect referral bonuses already earned by referrals in progress.
  • Verification and Approval: All referrals and reward claims are subject to verification by Greenstaff management. Greenstaff reserves the right to review the eligibility of both the referrer and the referred candidate at any stage. Any indication of fraudulent activity, misrepresentation, or violation of these terms may result in disqualification of the referral and non-payment of the bonus. Greenstaff also reserves the right to withhold or reclaim a referral bonus if it discovers that the terms and conditions were not adhered to.
  • Non-Combination with Other Offers: The referral bonus cannot be used in conjunction with any other incentive, offer, or promotion, unless expressly authorised by Greenstaff Australia. If the referred candidate is eligible for any other sign-on bonuses or recruitment incentives, the Refer a Friend bonus will still be honoured for the referrer (and referred, if applicable) as long as all criteria are met, but it will not be increased or multiplied in combination with other offers.
  • Relationship of Parties: Participation in this programme does not alter the employment relationship of either party with GreenStaff. The referrer and referred person will each continue to be subject to GreenStaff’s standard employment terms and policies. This programme and any bonuses paid under it do not form part of any employee’s contractual remuneration or award entitlements.
  • Acceptance of Terms: By referring a friend or by accepting a position through this referral programme, participants (both referrers and referees) are deemed to have accepted and agreed to these Terms & Conditions. Greenstaff Australia’s decision on any aspect of the Refer a Friend programme (including any disputes regarding eligibility or bonus payment) is final and binding.
  • Privacy: Any personal information collected as part of the referral (such as contact details of the referred candidate) will be handled in accordance with Greenstaff’s privacy policy and relevant privacy laws. Referrers should only provide contact information of a friend/family member with that person’s consent, and such information will be used solely for recruitment purposes.
